River City Quilter's Guild

November 16-18 is the quilt show for the RCQG (River City Quilter's Guild).  It is a small guild with a spectacular show.

I agreed to help the Vendor Chairperson.  One way that we raise money is to sell floor space to vendors.  They in turn, sell their merchandise.  We had four rooms that they were to occupy:  the Main Exhibit Hall, the "small" room off the the main hall, the Bruno Room in the back and a new room which we called the "front room."  We mark the areas that they can set-up their booths.  They keep their merchandise within the space that they have paid for.  Kitty and I showed up at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, to place tape on the floor.  We were done by 2 p.m.  The judging was done that morning in the Bruno Room and there was a large group of people that were putting the apparatus to display the quilts in the Main Exhibit Hall.

These were my favorite quilts:

Both of them were pieced by Linda Bergman.  They are from paper pieced patterns.  The pink quilt is a pattern from Judy Niemeyer and the one below is a paper pieced pattern from Linda Stone.

The show was so much fun but it was difficult dealing with some of the vendors.  Some of them acted like small children.  They went over the space that they paid for and I suspect that one of them lied to me about speaking to the vendor chair and getting her permission to use a larger area outside of their designated and paid for boundary.
